Responsibilities of the Comptroller's Office

The Comptroller's Office is responsible for the day-today fiscal operations of the Town; providing budgetary oversight and compliance during the fiscal year. 

The comptroller is the chief fiscal adviser to the Town Board and assists the Town Supervisor in the preparation of the annual operating budget. The Comptroller's Office acts as an accounting office, preparing and maintaining: accounts, records, documents of all receipts, accounts receivable & payable, investments, and borrowing for the town. Additionally, the comptroller is also responsible for the preparation of employee payroll for the town and serves as the overseer of the health and dental insurance programs as well as the employee retirement program.
