Yes, you need a permit through our Parks Department. Permits are enforced and you can receive a town summons if you do not have a valid permit.

NO, most of our Parks have contracts with concessionaires. You would need a peddler permit from the Town Clerk’s office to sell and then in only approved locations. Separately, a tent permit is given by the Fire Marshal’s Office.

Noise Rule:
Chapter 156-8 defines Unreasonable noise. As:No person shall make, continue or cause to be made or continued any excessive, unnecessary, unreasonable or unusually loud noise which either annoys, disturbs, injures or endangers or tends to annoy, disturb, injure or endanger the comfort, repose, health, peace or safety of other persons or the public.
In addition, Town code Chapter 156-9 gives further detail regarding SOUND REPRODUCTION DEVICE
Any device that is designed to be used or is actually used for the production or reproduction of sound, including but not limited to any musical instrument, radio, television, tape recorder, phonograph, loudspeaker, public address system or any other sound-amplifying device. No person shall operate or cause to be operated a sound reproduction device that produces unreasonable or unnecessary noise. The operation of any such device in such a manner as to create unnecessary or unreasonable noise across a real property boundary (or the operation of such device by a passenger on a common carrier) in such a way as to disturb any other person on a common carrier is prohibited.
In regards to block parties and sound equipment permits: The request shall state the hours of operation, but in no event shall a permit be granted for a block party or the use of sound equipment commencing before 10:00 a.m. or terminating after 11:00 p.m. when the day following the block party is a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, or terminating after 10:00 p.m. when the day following the block party/event is a regular workday.
